Golden Oak Montessori will begin the academic year with Distance Learning based on current directives from state and county officials. This means the building is still closed to students, and teaching/learning will be done remotely. Distance Learning will be our core instructional model for the months ahead, and we will keep families updated as we hear more from state and local authorities.
Golden Oak Montessori’s Adjusted Operations Plan outlines the details of our Distance Learning start and tentative plans toward re-opening. It is an ever-evolving document that we will add to and update over the coming months.
The plan includes many topics to get us started this year including:
Distance Learning & Blended Learning details
Attendance Taking / Reporting a Student Absent or Tardy
Assignments and Work Completion
Assessments and Reporting Progress
Special Education and Supportive Academic Services
Computer Resources, Email, and Google Classroom
Tech Support
Grab and Go Meals
Counseling Resources
The second section covers our tentative plans for re-opening including:
Anticipated Timeline
Face Coverings
Screening for Symptoms / Health Check Stations
Procedures for an Ill Person on Campus
Arrival and Departure from Campus
Physical Distancing on Campus
Safety Precautions During the Day (including cleaning)
