Paying for Meals - Adding Money to Meal Time
Families pay up front for student meal purchases. There are two ways to add money to your student’s meal account starting in August. (Families will be notified when available.)

Electronic Payments through Meal Time: Money can be added to a student’s account at www.mymealtime.com.There is a 4.9% transaction fee. You will need to enter your student’s school ID number to pay online. This school ID was mailed to families on August 9, 2017 and are available by contacting the office. View the parent instruction sheet below for additional information on setting up an account for your student in MealTime.

In-Person Payments: Payments can be made on school days in the Golden Oak Montessori office between the hours of 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. We accept cash and checks in exact amounts. (We cannot provide change.) A receipt will be given at time of payment.

Charges and Balances

If a student takes a meal they will be charged for it. We encourage families to have a conversation with their student so they know whether they can participate in the school meal program. If a student comes to school without a lunch, and they do not have sufficient funds on their account to buy a lunch, they will be asked to call their parent/guardian to either bring a lunch or put money on their account so they can buy a meal. If a student buys a lunch and then it is determined they did not have sufficient funds on their account, they will have a negative balance in Meal Time. A negative balance statement will be sent to the parent. Students cannot carry a negative balance of more than $10.

Families may submit a Free/Reduced Lunch Application at any point during the school year if an income situation has changed. Please contact info@goldenoakmontessori.org for assistance.
